Teaching In China

Hello Everyone,
If you have come to this page then must be at least slightly interested in my exploration and experiences in China. This opportunity has been provided to me, and my fellow participants by the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations, if you are interested in learning more please do not hesitate to look at some of the amazing work this organization is doing. A Weekend on Ruyang and Ruzhou

So last weekend we (the junior 3 teachers and the foreigners)  Traveled to Ruyang and Ruzhou, near by cities in Henan province.  The general trip was a reward for the J3 teachers for such a great job so far.  We went to these two cities in order to see two of the older temples in Henan.  Below you will see an enjoyable  rendition of our trip

The food was... interesting... I ate badger... and it was not good...





After Lunch we went to a temple, museum, amusement park, tourist trap... China style...

The last temple wasn't very far form the tourist trap... so we walked through the Forest of Wind Park (which was very foresty, but not very windy)...

Parts of this temple are close to 1500 years old... insane

  1. I wore my fleece lax jacket. It snowed. I smelled like wet dog. No one else would appreciate this.

  2. Very cool post bro! The pictures (especially the ones of the signage) are worth a thousand words. Glad to see that you are keeping up on your karaoke and drinking. Two life skills, no doubt!

  3. McBossy!!! Price & I were just talking about you yesterday when we were talking about all the "great" things happening this year and how bummed McDermott must be that you are not with us this year! Looks like you are having a great time! What an AMAZING experience. I am so happy for you. Miss you at OHS & your great PLC leadership skills. I was told this summer that I would take on your duties as WH PLC leader...clearly I am not doing as well as you...World History will no longer be offered next year! Anyways, keep the posts coming :)
